Getting here
How to get to the Isle of Rum
We live in a gorgeous pocket of the world - and your adventure begins even before you step foot on our island. The only way to access Rum is by boat. There are no cars allowed on Rum (other than those belonging to residents), and so you'll hop on a boat as a foot passenger. Feel free to bring your bike!

Ferry services
During the summer season (April-October), boats run to and from Rum almost everyday.
The most regular service is operated by Caledonian MacBrayne, and departs Mallaig for Rum on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In May, June, July and August, Arisaig Marine operates the MV Sheerwater between Airsaig and Rum, as well as the other Small Isles.
